15.10.2011; Saturday, weekend at Kuantan. As usual it is Nasi Belauk time. Today Adik got a call from her school to attend a training for end of the year school show. So it's up to us middle aged couple to enjoy the Nasi Dagang, Nasi Belauk weekend routine. Without the children it's kind of `lonely', romance being quite an alien concept to home culture and limited to the marital chamber..
Today we ate out at De'Aisyah, a newly discovered breakfast spot. The Nasi Belauk, Nasi Kerabu is
2nd to none. Add to it the Teh Tarik Kurang Manis and Kopi completed the breakfast joy. Before
this our spots were limited to Tanjung Lumpur Warong Merdeka and Beserah Nasi Dagang. At this
moment those two are relegated to alternative choices.
The De'Aisyah is situated at the old R&R Kuantan By-Pass with its almost totally discoloured and
hardly visible signboard. We used to stop here to break journey and for Solat when travelling on
The Coastal Road. Now it is enlivened with people who came here for breakfast, filling the area
with all kinds of cars. Even to get the Nasi Belau / Nasi Kerabau, we had to line up. However the
the service is good and we dont have to wait for long even though the queue is quite long.
